Painting
Zoe makes her 'pallets' on a plate, so resourceful!
They love to paint! Mommy tolerates the
smell (not a happy smell, that tempera paint!!)
After this we got to spend time with our friends
from Buffalo who were in town, and then help
babysit for our in town friends so one sibling
could attend the dentist. And no, I didn't take any
pictures! They trampolined, swang, ran, played
board games, went to 'rock island' and then snacked
and watched some movie, but not a single picture.
It's like it didn't even happen!! LOL!!
BREAKFAST MADE BY MY GIRLS!
On Saturday morning the girls made me
breakfast! I got to sleep in until 8am and they
had made scrambled eggs with cheese, and toast
and served tortilla chips and sour cream! (LOL)
What a great thing it was to wake up to breakfast
been made and the table set all nicely :D With
teacups and teasaucers, too!!! What a great
bunch of girls!!

Finishing up the homemade laundry detergent!
The girls loved getting their hands dirty! After 24 hours of
sitting, I lost my original recipe on my computer (how did THAT
happen?!?) and a kind fellow homeschooling and freecycling
mom pointed me in the direction of this blog and post:

Look how viscousy and gelatinous-y (are those words? LOL)
this concentrate is!
So after we played with it for a while :P we took a quart of it and
put it into an old liquid detergent container and put a quart
of hot tap water and a little Tea Tree oil and shook it like
nobody's business! We used it, and I can't wait to see how the clothes
come out! This made a BUNCH of concentrate! I plan to figure out
the cost effectiveness of this recipe soon. It's WAY cheap, but
I think even I will be surprised as to just HOW inexpensive it
actually is here in our area!
