Ecclesiastes 5:18

I am so thankful that I can enjoy the life God has given us with my husband and our children!

II. Transferring to the habitat


Doug transferred the Chrysalides from their
jar they came in into their habitat....


this is what was left of the food that was at the bottom
of the cup/jar. Ew. Some poop too ;)
And a caterpillar that didn't make it!

Their new home! To be butterflies within
a week or so!
We got a video of one chrysalis 'shaking' - what
they do to ward off predators...look on my blog
for it, it's a YouTube video now :)

I. Caterpillars to Chrysalises (or Chrysalides)


The first stage we got to see -- they come
like this in the mail :)


The first Chrysalis! It's not hard all the way
up yet, but you can see the silk here.



They all formed Chrysalides within a few days!

bit the dust :P He's at the bottom of the cup.

They're all hanging out! Just a couple of days
until they curl up a little more and it will
be time to move them to their habitat!

The girls like to play 'restaurant' when we are having a meal
(or not having a meal!) and they make a menu, and then have
a pad of paper to take down what daddy would like. :)
